Hello!
My name is Huimin Liu. I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame in 2025. During my six years there, I worked in early modern European philosophy, exploring the interplay between metaphysics, epistemology, and philosophy of mind. My dissertation examines Spinoza’s doctrine of parallelism and what it reveals about his understanding of thought itself. In Fall 2026, I will join the Institute of Philosophy at Universität Hamburg as a Research Associate, where I will continue my research in early modern philosophy. I am passionate about both teaching and engaging with the academic community, having presented my work at various academic gatherings and earned recognition for my teaching excellence. Outside of philosophy, I enjoy photography as a creative outlet. For more details about my research, teaching, and photography, please explore the dedicated pages on this website.
